Introducing Emetaron Tata Recovery/Mental Health Channel/Podcast - Episode/Podcast My story.

This is a brief account about my story and why and how I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2000 in London, UK due to experiencing sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse and emotional abuse as well as inter-generational trauma and inter -generational poverty whilst living in Onitsha, Nigeria. My father Ejoh Aloysious Abuah was a former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. He was a very evil wicked monster who displayed violent and abusive behaviour towards me, my siblings and my mother. He was also very promiscuous and he sexually abused other women. In this episode I describe my life of hell in Onitsha, Nigeria and will continue to do so in future episodes in order to address and highlight why recovery is so important for people living with mental health problems, more so schizophrenia.

Continuation of healthy eating podcast. I mention family members who were prepared to exploit me to get their needs met. It was difficult for me to really budget for food and buy Nigerian food because my family members demonstrated enmeshment and codependency. This exacerbated my mental health and made it very difficult for me to practice self care. Please take care of yourself. Please put yourself first always. As they say put on your oxygen mask first. Learn to validate your well-being. Always remember to consult a therapist if you feel suicidal especially if you are experiencing disordered eating. Thank you.

This podcast is discussing why it's important to refrain from dieting and stop the dieting mentality. I also highlight the effect sexual abuse had on my body and sexuality. I'm glad to say that I'm very happy with my weight and very voluptuous body and feel more empowerd as a woman than ever before. I recommend a high fibre diet that keeps you regular and not constipated. I feel that shitting as often as possible is very healthy. Its important to eat plenty of green vegetables and high fibre foods such as brown pasta, brown bulgur unpeeled potatoes, yam, brown bread etc As well as lean meat, skinless chicken and plenty of beans and lentils. plus lots of herbs and spices particularly turmeric and garlic as well as curry powder. Also it is important to love, honour and enjoy your body so that you develop a very healthy loving relationship with your body. Also avoid processed foods, drink plenty of water. Be mindful of how much tea and coffee you drink daily. Keep in mind that it's healthy to want to have good stools. which is why it's important to try and eat whole foods as well as cook often. Please remember I'm not a dietician, nutrionist, doctor or even cook. This is my take on healthy eating which is based on my life experience. please remember to consult a doctor before making changes to your diet and attempting to go on a diet. If you struggle with disordered eating please read about OA Over Eaters Anonymous online. Please learn to listen to your body and stay healthy that is in accordance with your values. Remember you are responsible for yourself. If you are struggling with your weight and positive body image please consult a therapist or psychotherapist. Stay well and be kind and compassionate to yourself. Thank you.

This episode is focusing on medication management. Why I feel that it is
in my interest to take my daily antipsychotic medication. I also highlight my experience of sexual abuse, physical abuse, trauma , intergenerational trauma and intergenerational poverty whilst living in Onitsha Nigeria which exacerbated my mental health and wellbeing. My aim is certainly not to tell people what to do or tell them how to live their life. Always consult a medical practitioner before you engage in trying to stop or reduce your medication. Also please seek counselling or talk to a therapist. Please remember I'm not a therapist, My experiences are my experiences. Every bodies recovery will look different to yours. It is not a race ! Please stay safe and exercise caution. Maintain responsible behaviour especially when dealing with medication management. Thank you!
